  1. Protip: dice some spring onions and pop them in there too, maybe some mushrooms too- plus if your rice cooker is like mine and you have a steamer shelf on it, you can steam some frozen gyoza at the same time!

  2. any idea on the background of this concept ?? because it seems to be a normal practice when preparing white rice at my folks house back in Bahrain xd they usually add a teaspoon of corse chili flakes on the top of the tomato prior to cooking the rice.
