  1. I've always made your Shepherd's pie and when I went vegetarian that was the dish I was most upset to skip out on, but I am soo going to try this!!! Thanks Laura you are quite a catch ❤️

  2. I love!!! Please do more vegetarian meals. Or when you do any recipes just tell us how we can substitute the meats to make our meals vegetarian. I really appreciate your videos!!!!! Thank you!

  3. Love this idea for vegetarians.  Please leave out or replace the Worstershire (sorry about spelling) sauce- it has anchovies in it.  (Fish is not a vegetable.)  Thank you Laura for mentioning the fishies.  One of my favorite channels with so many ideas that are quick and easy to prepare.  Laura gets "two thumbs up and a great big toe" from me!

  4. is it an italian thing to cook too much food. it's definitely part of our culture (Cyprus). my mum always gets too nervous about making sure that there is enough food for everyone and she ends up making double the amount needed

  5. for vegan mashed potatoes I use earth balance butter and chasew milk (its creamier and gives a better flavor to savory dishes). To add more flavor I roast garlic in foil in the oven for 30 mins too 😀 then mix all with spices (cumin, coriander, paprika) and its delicious! I dont even miss the dairy in this recipe

  6. Thank you. I've done this recipe before but I don't usually add red wine to my vegetables.  Usually I only use red wine when I making a red wine sauce for beef.  I found it interesting that you heat up your milk and butter prior to adding it to the mash potatoes.  I haven't done that before, so I will use this tip next time am mashing potatoes.

  7. I think vegans should come up with their own dishes. It seems rather defeating the purpose of saving animals while you make dishes based on them. Just my opinion from a non-vegan.

  8. A million thanks for this fabulous vegetarian shepherd's pie!!  I made it for a X-mas party and everyone devoured it immediately.  They couldn't believe it contained no meat.  Have a great holiday and thank you for all of your wonderful videos/ recipes.

  9. Hi Laura, I love your videos! Most of the channels I subscribe to are vegan but I so appreciate all the veggie friendly recipes you make! Thanks for all you do.

  10. Vegetarian Worcestershire sauce exists and you can get it at most grocery stores so you guys can just use that, and if your vegan, just use unsweetened soy, almond, rice, or coconut milk and earth balance butter for your mash potatoes! This recipe looks rad! Imma make  it for my meat eating boyfriend.

  11. great recipe i never though of using lentils when i make this with my sister who is vegetarian we use the veggie ground beef which is made of things like soya and tofu it has an awesome texture. also if it's just my family and I if we're using a wide pot like the one you've got we just put the mashed potatoes on top of the filling in the pot and put it in the oven. If the handle is plastic we just cover it in tin foil and it's perfect!
