  1. sorry, if U are sharing your Mum's great recipe, pls.give us her original recipe.
    I have tried many recipes but had not come across, adding in salt , baking powder & water.
    So I tried even there is ? , result it's the most ! HORRIBLE ! steam sponge cake.

  2. I made that following your recipe to a T. Bought a 15cm bamboo basket but the cake turned out undercooked, dry and distorted. I made that for my mum who was visiting me in Melbourne. I was so disappointed 🙁

  3. Thanks for the recipes I will try making it . this is a traditional method. When I was young I saw my mun use sugar to place it on top of the batter with a sign of a cross and she add ice cream soda drink instead of water and then use a joss stick to add as time to finsh steaming after the joss stick is burn off.
