  1. I made this recipe and when I made my breakfast, I put the chorizo, saute'd anaheim peppers and onions in a flour tortilla with a dash of cheese. It was so good that I had to make another one. That recipe is just awesome. Thank You

  2. Finally, a homemade recipe for chorizo! I purchased for the first time a mortar and pestle to give this recipe a try. I am hoping that this recipe is better than the brand that I buy at the store.

  3. Save the seeds from the peppers and you can grow your own. Is it better to use re hydrated dried chilies or fresh ones? I'll have to try this the next time I make chorizo. The recipe I created just uses pork breakfast sausage, paprika, chili powder, and white vinegar. I really love good chorizo but what I have been able to find in the stores around here is nasty.

  4. I want to share something with you young lady. I have an uncle who lives in Dallas Texas, and in Arizona part time next to my mother. He and I share a passion for great food, mexican food being one of our favorites (Korean is a favorite of my son and I btw). He loves chorizo but had never thought of making it himself. Six month ago, I made your recipe and make chorizo and egg burros for my family. He loved it so much, I shared your video with him, and now he is making it himself. So, in a small way, you changed the life of a man almost 70 years old. Thank you for that!!

  5. So, whenever I've read the label on a package of chorizo at a Mexican grocery store, the first three ingredients have always been: pig cheeks, lymph nodes and salivary glands. That's fine; I already learned to love chorizo before I knew what was in it. But why, whenever you see a recipe for chorizo online, does it never include those three ingredients but just – generically – pork? Can someone please 'splain to me?

  6. Wow! Looks delicious!
I love chorizo but never knew how to make it. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I'm definitely going to try this with the homemade flour tortillas!!
