I made your Umami burger yesterday. I increased the onion and garlic powder to 1 teaspoon each, added to the food processor two teaspoons smoked paprika and 1/4 cup pea protein isolate (I need to research if that was nutritionally smart) plus 5 ounces diced steamed beets (for the nutrients and color). It looked like beef! It’s so tasty I’m having one for breakfast 🥰 Thank you!!!!!!
I just got done eating my last Brian’s Burger. They are definitely my go to burger from now on. I made my own WFPB Big Mac sauce and I was in heaven! Keep up the kitchen experiments. I love the fact that your recipes aren’t gimmicky, just real food.
Love you guys. Your honesty and willingness to share wonderful recipes. Just started plant based this week so learning a lot from you both. Do u have an estimate of monthly grocery money spent please? Will make these soon, thanks again.
Made this the other night and it's THE BEST "burger" recipe. Served it for company and it was a crowd-pleaser. Also, one of the easiest Bean burger recipes. I was curious to see how all the ingredients would turn out… Brian, you are a genius! Awesome flavor, texture, and cooked beautifully. 🙂 Thank you!
I made these today and am blown away by the flavor and texture. I’ve had so many mushy burgers in the past that my expectations were very low. The texture of these is amazing. I love how the outside can get crispy. I cooked mine on an old George Foreman Grill and they came out perfectly. I can tell that I’m going to be eating a lot of burgers this summer!
Ok so I watched this video the other day and just had to make them. So I tweeked your recipe I didn’t have the mushrooms replaced with chipotle sauce 1 tablespoon. Use a hearty roll with lettuce, tomatoes, onion and cashew cream and put them in the panini press. All I have to say I believe they where the best that I have made. Thank You for the recipe.
I tried it! The taste was good but I would add a flax egg and something like cooked rice or cooked barley. Maybe it was like that because I cooked the beans by myself. Maybe yours had more moisture.
Great tasting burger patty!! The sun dried tomatoes with olive added a unique flavor, SO GOOD! I ate the burger with smashed yukon gold potatoes. Oh yeah!
OMG! I am SO EXCITED! 😊 Jessica seemed so familiar. A few days ago, I saw a video with your old "flashbacks" and I thought, "Wow – she looks just like a woman I used to work with." Today, Brian mentioned a local grocery store and I began smiling! It's YOU! Congratulations! Just knowing that you guys are in the area has inspired me! 😁 Thank you! Best wishes and continued success! ❤
I would LOVE to make these someday in the future, but I do have a question! I am an olive-hater…. should I sub in capers? Or perhaps omit the olives altogether? Or—would you say the olive flavor is subtle enough to be hidden in this recipe? Thank you 💕
I'm trying to figure out if I can make the whole recipe in the Vitamix. I broke the lid to my food processor and am still trying to figure out if I want to buy a new food processor.
I made these for Independence Day. They held up really well. I liked the texture. The taste was a little bland. @Brian, I know you said you were going to work on the recipe, but just wanted to get something out to us. Thank You!!! I think next time I make these I'm going to add smoked paprika and a lot more garlic and onion.
Hey Jessica, you and I are the exact same height and weight. Let’s lose another 10 pounds together! My husband and I went vegan three years ago. He lost 40 pounds and I lost 15. I have been a vegetarian for most of my life so dropping cheese was a game changer for me. We are now eating really high fiber and the pounds are slowly melting off. You guys are so inspiring! So happy for your success! I make burgers similar to these every week. I like the sun dried tomatoes in your recipe. I will be trying them !
I tried it, and it's amazing! It's probably even tastier than my first try, as I measured 15 oz of black beans I cooked in the IP, and a drained 15-oz can of black beans equals 9 oz drained. I've been sharing it to everyone I know who might like it. You've outdone yourself Brian!
Not being an American, burgers aren’t really my thing. Whole food! That’s how we try to eat. If everything has to be blitzed, then it stops being ‘whole’. Oats into oat flour when we are flour free doesn’t work on our food plan. Blitzing seeds rather than chewing them is taking away their satiety. Lovely idea, but, not for me as I am trying to learn to eat food as God created it. Cheers Jane x

If I’m going vegan, I have to understand that my food is not going to taste like meat!

I got the print feature to work. I needed to do another step. Unfortunately I also got all the comments. 🤪
I have not been able to get your print button to work. It acts like it is live but nothing happens? Help

My hubby is allergic to mushrooms. Should I just leave it out, or sub with something else? You two are the best! Thank you for all you do!

AWESOME VIDEO, Guys!
Can you use green olives instead of black olives?
I tried it! The taste was good but I would add a flax egg and something like cooked rice or cooked barley. Maybe it was like that because I cooked the beans by myself. Maybe yours had more moisture.
Looks delicious!
the song is fun – don't worry!

I’m struggling to find a burger that doesn’t squish out of the bun. This looks like it might be that?
Peep looks like he needs a trip thru the washing machine to brighten his complexion. Just sayin’.
How about a cookbook, I'd buy it.
Made these yesterday and they have a really good flavor! Will definitely make again. Thank you for the great recipe!
When you say mmmmmmhhhh like Homer you know it's good can't wait to try this recipe

Mushroom Powder!! What a great idea, am adding this to my spice shelf immediately!
This looks delicious! But, I must admit, when I saw the bean balls my mind thought of this:

Is the happy music one of your compositions, Brian?
This is appealing and I like it, but I absolutely can't wait for the fake breakfast sausage.
