  1. I used the same base, and added garlic, cabbage, mushrooms, and green peppers! I substituted mushroom sauce for oyster sauce. I had lo mein noodles but they went bad so I threw in Maruchan ramen! I also pan fried tofu in cornstarch, chili powder, savory seasoning, and salt to add on top.

    The soup turned out so good and my 4-year old brother ate it all!

  2. Fantastic recipe. I bought some dry ramen noodles and will make this broth because it looks so easy and tasty. Thanks also for the tip about freezing ginger; I was thinking when you grated the ginger "I rarely use ginger, if I bought a whole one it'll go off" then almost like you were answering me, you said you freeze it!     i tried this and it was AWESOME @_@

    well all i had was thick noodles so no much taste absorption..

    oh well might aswel try it again with the right noodles 🙂
