If you want a little secret to delicious potato gratin, do it like this; first boil/simmer sliced potatoes in milk + cream combo (and whatever herbs etc. you like) in a pot/pan,(be careful it doesn't become mushy), then transfer it to a baking dish, top with cheese and put in the oven. It really makes a difference, try it some time.

  2. Hi Neha, well we're not exactly sure what type of cheese you refer to, but the best result would come from cheese similar to what is used in the video. You could even try using Cheddar, Emmental or Edam if that is what you can find. We wouldn't recommend trying to use the processed cheese slices that are used in sandwiches and burgers.
