No they are NOT the same. Corn flour is the entire corn kernel milled into flour. It contains protein and fat as well. Corn starch is just that – starch. It is chemically separated from the protein and other components of corn flour.
However they can sometimes be used interchangeably, especially in soups and stews. But for breading and deep frying, you cannot substitute corn starch for corn flour.
I found this recipe and it looked easy so i made it for my family and im 16 they said it was delicious. Thanks for the easy instructions and recipe ????
Can you please tell me how much of each the flour and the cornstarch is needed to make "corn flour"? Is it 50-50? Thank you! Been looking for this recipe for years and can't wait to try it!
You should do it in the other way round..make the sauce first the fried the chicken. Reason : When you pour in the sauce to the just fried meat, it will absorb the sauce and the meat will be much more tastier…
@Saya Aman… Not able to reply to you for some reason… Slurry is Corn starch mixed with water… so for this recipe mix 3 tbsp Corn starch with 3 tbsp of water.. Hope that helps :)
any alternative for chicken stock?
