  1. I fry mine up a bit darker and crisper around the edges because I like crunchy… Toss in some peanuts and maybe even some bamboo shoots…. hot sauce works well also… and a side dish with some pickled ginger slices…to die for…

  2. Hi Pai! Slightly off topic question… but what is the difference between Thai Jasmine rice and Thai Hom Mali Rice? I was at the supermarket and I saw both and couldn't decide which one would suite Thai dishes best.

Love your channel by the way! 🙂

  3. I haven't made your or your grandmother's Hainanese chicken yet 🙁 but I am currently vacationing in Singapore and I had Hainanese chicken for lunch today. It is SO good! I'm going to make this when I get home.

  4. English learner here! I enjoy the way you speak English. SO clear and sound good. I don't know how you do that since you are raised in Asia. Would love to hear some tips. I have been watching your videos and speaking after you, and I have found that my speaking skill has slowly been improved ever since. Thank you for being a role model.

  5. I am so jealous of you mini cleaver! Too cool!
Thank you for your videos. I love eating Thai but have never tried making at home, but with your videos, I'm going to try to.

  6. Wow. I've been following you since your first pad thai video. (Still use that recipe)
You have really "blossomed" into something special. I love your Thai recipes.

  7. This was amazing! I did everything as written in the recipe.

I was worried about the dipping sauce being too hot but it was amazing and will definitely be making it again for other things.

  8. Wow, I just made this dish, and I must say, this has to be one of the best recipes in terms of minimal effort vs. maximum mastication satisfaction. I deviated a bit in that I used white instead of black pepper, and when I checked for salt, I used black salt. I also tossed in a light splash of sesame oil at the end.

I'll definitely be making this in the future, so thank you, and thank your grandmother too!

  10. I really enjoy your cooking videos. They are not only very informative, but the lessons and tips are usually not too complicated. My wife is a Filipina, but thanks to you, I think that I do a better job at preparing the Asian meals than she (of course I wouldn't tell her that). Your channel is one of my favorites, and your personality is moat delightful, and always brings a smile to my face. Great stuff !! 🙂

  11. I just love you Pailin!!! And of course your recipes and videos!!!! You are so full of positive energy!!! Watching your videos gives me so many good vibes !!!!!

  12. My god , this remembers me, my living time in Thailand, i use to have it at home, and i do try to cook it myself here in Spain, i definitely loved, thank you for giving this recipe, very helpful.
