  1. I tried to make egg fried rice on my own without a recipe and also I cooked the egg with the rice. It was quite difficult and didn't turn out very well. But you make this look very easy and good. I will try it tonight. Thank you for your post.

  2. Her English is soooo good, I can hear her accent, either Scotland or Ireland. I'm gonna go with Scotland. I am from NYC, so have worked with many Scots. This is similar to my fried rice, which I learned to make when I lived in Thailand for 1 1/2 years. We use thick Black sweet soy sauce, and garlic. Anyway, thanks for the video!

  5. never seen fried rice made with olive oil, always thought it was done with oil that has high smoke temps,i think in china they usually use soybean there a big taste difference.

  6. I've been making fried rice for over a decade. I usually use 1 cup water to 1 cup rice and make the rice immediately afterward. Do you think this is better than using 2 cups water to 1 cup rice and waiting a day?

  7. Nekni1 – There is nothing wrong with using metal utensils on a seasoned steel wok – it’s NOT teflon coated. I worked in a Chinese restaurant when I was a teenager and all the Chinese cooks used metal utensils. And they’ve been doing it that way for thousands of years. Of course I too cant stand when someone uses metal utensils with my teflon pans, but why would it bother me in the least if they want to ruin there own teflon pans? Anyway if you have a teflon wok throw it out and get a real one.
