  1. Confused about the time… I just bought one of these power pressure cooker XL's this morning and wanted to cook a corned beef in it however you're talking about 90 minutes and others I've seen talk about 30 min to 45 min total.

    I really don't want to ruin another $20 piece of meat (last time I followed instructions to cook the corned beef in the slow cooker for 8 hours and it was the driest piece of mean I'd ever eaten).

  2. It came out perfect. We cooked it in the XL for 60 min. I did the cabbage on the stove as I like mine a bit crunchier then yours looked. I will recommend your site to my friends.

  3. Hey there. I just saw your video and I was wondering if the corned beef tasted like beer? My son is quite picky and when using alcohol in cooking I have to be sneaky. Also would it matter if I used reds apple ale as it's the only thing I have on hand? Thank you

  4. Love that recipe I just want to make sure my corned beef is going to stay in one piece so I can baste it with sauce and finish it off in the oven with all the mustard sauce. Yummy Happy St. Patrick's Day..

  5. Donna, great video. We just got our pressure cooker in Dec. After you add the potatoes etc, does the pot reseal? Do you just reset the timer for an additional 15 minutes? thank you! we plan on using this recipe.

  6. I made this as the first recipe in my instant pot. I loved it. I used 2 cups instant boullion Better Than Buillion brand Roast beef flavor rather than apple ciderand it turned out excellent! Wonderful instructions.
