  1. it starts out the right way but all that pork fat is not necessary,  that is the wrong size pasta  way too large,  not enough liquid in there,  should be short tubular pasta and a bit more broth

  2. Love that pasta…i eat it like 3 times a week, sooo good only problem is that you're gonna be farting for the rest of the day so it's not really recommended for a romantic dinner. LOL

  3. @hellenistic This recipe could easily be made vegetarian. Although Pasta e fagioli is traditionally a meat dish. For arguments sake, butter or margerine could be substituted for the lard. Tofu or other meat substitute of course for the pancetta. Not difficult.
