    I am using tamarind paste that comes in a block. It is usually available at any Asian or Indian store (or get it online, link below).

    I drew inspiration for this apple tamarind chutney from culinary traditions of a spicy tamarind compote known as ‘takkar’ in Mauritius.
    Jaggery is my preferred sugar in this recipe. You can find jaggery at Asian or Indian stores and also online.

  2. combination of sour taste as tamarind highly used aslongivity
    ad with dates and palm jaggery and apple , is something never heard

    how that each taste is balance itself i still dont get that some thing as bread, something wheat chappati , or pasted and taken or dosa
    i just look how that

  3. Yummy, this reminds me of our mauritian 'takkhar' (not sure how to write this) 🙂 . Will need to make this soon! It would be an amazing and delicious accompaniment to a lot of my meals, instead of eating the other store-bought sauces 😀
